TB3 rear shock upgrade advice

New to MTB scene and just purchased a 2018 Santa Cruz Tallboy 29 X01 Carbon CC. I am interested in upgrading the rear shock but seem to be hitting a wall on this topic. Does anyone have first hand info on this topic? I've heard of someone replacing it with a CC or a DPX2 but not sure of the sizing. Thanks for your help!

For sizing you need the eye to eye length and stroke of the shock. Go to this link and it will bring you to your bike and all the specs you need, best to save the page.
