The plastic spacers washers appear covered in black bits. Are those squished off bits from the seals

Fox rear shock -142 replacement seal kit
Fox rear shock -142 replacement seal kit

Packet of replacement seals for Fox rear shock (803-00-142)

The plastic washers/spacers appear to be covered in bits of black rubber.

Is that a sign that the seals in the packet have been squished and squeezed so much in storage/transit that chunks have come off the seals

Rendering the seals useless?

I don't want to open the packet to check as I have just received these in the post and if they are damaged will send them back to the seller

Ha! Your Orca will love the seal infused plastic spacer/washers! Wink
The little black specs are actually molded in and are not part of the o-rings. All of the Fox service packs I've seen are like that.

Thanks. Appreciate the reply. I wasn't planning to use these for a while yet as the shock is fine for now.

I only bought them as eBay randomly gave me a free 10 pound voucher which was about to expire in two days. And didn't really need anything else off fleabay.
