Hi I have a 2017 specialized camber that has had chronic shifting issues over the years. I've taken it to different mechanics and some have had more success than others. Recently I've had two separate shops tell me that the cassette (Sunrace, 10-speed, 11-42t) and the derailleur (SRAM GX, Type 2.1, long cage, 10-speed) aren't compatible. But they are the exact brand and model that the bike came with. I recently looked at the specs of the derailleur and it is only supposed to be used with a max 36T cassette. That's messed up right? It seems specialized built in beyond specs. Whats up with that? and whats my cheapest option to fix it? I was thinking a shimano with a wolftooth goatlink. I'm pretty tapped out on cash from other repairs otherwise I'd just go to an all new 11 speed drivetrain.
