lightforce blitz 170's? if so how do you like them? i need 3 lights for my front bumper, and its a toss up between hella 4000s, lightforces, or baja designs sol teks.
im not saying the trucks crap, just automatic in general, i think its a bad idea apart from for people who have issues with hand eye co-ordination
i'm fairly certain most off road racers, mainly short course, run automatics to keep both hands on the wheel. when dealing with 800+ horsepower, jumps, drifting dirt turns, and other trucks fighting for 1st, i'd like both hands on the wheel. and seeing as they do pretty well for themselves both behind the wheel, and while walking around, i dont think they have any problem with hand eye coordination.

That's what the market demands. People want a truck that can hold at least 2 full grown adults with a decent sized bed. The easiest way to accomodate those demands is to make the truck long and wide.

On top of that the extra length helps deal with any added weight in the bed or on a trailer. One more reason is the long open high speed american roads, a longer wheelbase will make high speeds smoother.
And on top of all of that a rather disputable generalization, which I find to be true, is that people who drive trucks tend to be better drivers than the average car driver, meaning they can actually manage to maneuver with the longer wheelbase.

for now, i have that which says over 5" from top of frame to bottom of body is illegal. i'll keep digging through the cvc, and i asked my friend who knows a guy who did get a ticket for it
