I'm 5'9" on a medium '17 Patrol. The way things are going I see my next bike being a small to keep the sort of geometry I'm comfy with.

i'm on a xl bronson3 with 179cm(5'10"ish). the toptube is superlong, but the rest of the numbers worth a bit of streching while im pedaling, but a steeper sta would be nice. a large patrol and the nomad5 looks pretty okey on paper, too bad neither are them available in alu as a frameset(i know, the patrol is/was, but i havent seen anywhere in europe).

For balance, a guy I ride with rides a medium canyon torque, all 6’3” of him.

Not on purpose, he just CBA to return it when they sent the wrong size, and has now convinced himself it’s right.

I wonder what percentage of sub 5'7 dudes ride larger bikes than 5'9+ dudes.
Judging from a couple seasons of handing out demo bikes, I'd say it's statistically significant.

Being 5’ 8-9 depending on the times I have been measured I always go with a medium frame, but wide as I can get handlebars. People always assume I will cut em down, but nope! Wide bars rule.
