CAD pricing is whack. In US, the Evo Expert is 4900 USD which is 6500 CAD. Instead in Canada the bike retails for 7300 CAD Thumbs Down

The exchange rate bites for sure! Take a road trip and purchase one in the US

Buy it in the states and then ride it to make it look like your brought it down with you (to evade paying duties on your way back to Canada)

Only a suggestion...

Specialized is going to take some flak for it, but I'm happy to see a flex pivot.

Anyone heard anything from their lbs about the availability of the Evo ? I can't believe Specialized won't release another production till next season... 36 hours after the release and I couldn't even place an order...

Anyone plan on trying to fit a 2021 Float X2 on a new Stumpy Evo? Looking at past forums, it seems that the last gen Stumpys had trouble fitting one due to the sidearm.

Not sure it will even need the upgrade, but I love my Float X2 on my current bike and would love to have one on the new Stumpy if I can ever get one.

So my conundrum is, if shopping a Stumpy Comp, Evo or non-evo? Evo is only $150ish more USD. Hmmm...

I think it really depends on where you live and what type of trails you ride. The Evo is so adjustable that you can essentially make the geo close to the normal Stumpy. But if you don't have super steep and rough trails maybe the normal Stumpy would be a good option. If you're a heavy or aggressive rider I'd still go Evo because of the adjustability and the 36 will handle heavier riders better.

Although it depends on where you ride and what your style of riding is I would still recommend the Evo. The geometry adjustments can make it the perfect bike for many different situations. Even though it’s objectively bigger than a regular stumpjumper, they’ve improved suspension kinematics for climbing which will likely make it an efficient climber (not a mountain goat but capable enough).

I’m on team Evo.
