Hello, i am searching for new bike to buy around 4-5k € price point. I am atm looking at Rocky mountain slayer 2020 model or Santa Cruz Mega Tower C S-Kit Coil 2020. Is there anything else worth looking at that is like big enduro but also a bit of mini DH ?

thank you

the propain spindrift might be an option- 180mm travel front and rear and heaps of different build options.
maybe also consider the commencal clash- 170 rear, 180 front,

Others to consider (more on the enduro/everyday pedaler side):

- Guerrilla Gravity Megatrail
- Transition Patrol
- Santa Cruz Nomad (though due for a geo update in my opinion)

As for truly big travel, mini-DH bikes you can pedal, I'd say that the Commencal Clash, Propain Spindrift, Nicolai G1, and RM Slayer fall into that category. Also, word on the street is that Norco is bringing back the Shore, which will also be a big travel 27.5 freeride bike, similar to the Slayer.

Thank you for input. I am looking at 29" bikes atm tbh. I was looking at megatrail but its too expensive to buy it in europe. Also on megatower i would upgrade fork to 180 mm of travel from 160 so that would be like RM slayer.

Specialized Enduro comp, Propain Spindrift, Nomad but a bit late to the party as it's getting on a bit now, Capra but good luck getting one. There is others like Geometron, Yeti SB165 ect but that is over your budget unless buying used.

Trek slash, literally advertised as a "mini dh bike" the 2021 slash is really good.
Or rocky slayer, YT capra(wait for the updated 2021)
Dont discount the Giant reign in this either, We have one of the new 2021's that we rent out, i rode it the other day and it actually goes really well surprisingly

Commencal AM V4.2 owner here (last year of the 27.5 wheelsize) and would suggest the 170 / 160 is pretty comfortable for just about everything I can throw at it. With a Lyrik / Super Deluxe Ultimate with MegNeg, I'm more than happy riding around the PNW. I imagine that a coil would make it that much more enjoyable for DH duties.

Clash is an obvious option from Commencal if looking for a bit more travel. All around value option with great customer service (in my experience).

How about radoon swoop 10.0? Seems like big machine with mix of enduro/fr or its mostly just enduro machine?
