Spending the week in Nelson, anyone want to offer up their thoughts on must-ride trails?
Two 40 year old guys, advanced riders (home is Golden). Steep, technical, slabs, etc is all fine but we're not really the 10ft drop, big air, giant gap jump types.

Did a trip up there recently and rode a variety of those trails - I'd recommend them as well. The general consensus was that Bedframe was the 'best' of the ones we did. It had a bit of everything - steeps, slabs and technical. It would be on the top of my list when I go back.
Seems there are lots of shuttle opportunities in Nelson - so multiple vehicles would be useful too.
Mountain Station Zone - Still most of the good trails are closed above Eli due to a windstorm.
Morning Mountain - Climb Bottoms Up to Upper Bottoms up to Giveout Rd. Climb road to Bears Den. Descend Bears Den to Mr. Slave to the Turnstyles Junction. Then ride Illuminati or lower section of Placenta Descenta. OR do the same Bears Den to top section of MisterSlave only and ride down Giveout Rd to Bedframe. (Ultimate sick lap).
Silverking Rd. (Fairly High) - park at end of road. Climb all the way up Fairly High to Very High. Then go down Upper Highballer, can hit Bears Den or all Highballer and get Placenta or Bedframe.. Or climb Fairly High to just Giveout Rd Junction and do the Gimp. (Steeeep)
North Shore is easy climbs. Just use the road to climb. Avoid Goosebumps. Definitely must hits are Morning Sickness and Newtsac. Ledges is really fun too. Can ride all the trails there in a few hours.
Smallwood is a good zone too. - Park at Kiosk and climb Crowsnest towards bottom of Vallelujah up to Below the Gods. Descend Below the Gods to Antler (Pedally) to Smallwood Trail (Sick view) to Bigwood or Smallwood DH. (Rad loop)
There's ton more loops and sick trails. The whole Gold Creek side with Goldmember, SFD, Goldrush, Lucky Charms, Waldorfian are all sick. Mostly shuttle zone. But you can just climb the road there too.
It's endless. Everything is good. Make sure you have newer brake pads or spares.
We had a great trip and rode pretty much "everywhere".
First day was up Svaboda to log jam, Paper bag.
Second day was Morning Mountain - Bottoms Up to Lefty, then Bottoms up to Upper Bottoms to Turn Styles & Lefty, then Bottoms up, Upper Bottoms to Bedframe (A+++)
Third day over to Castlegar for Captain Kangaroo. The new trail Wings of Merry at the bottom is a must do.
Day four on the North Shore - Morning Sickness, Newtsack, Ledges and another lap of Morning Sickness.
Loved the riding in Nelson, we had a great time. Pedaled everything since there were only two of us, but the shuttle access is great too, especially at the North Shore.

This looks like some great info, I'm planning a trip down to Nelson around March to pick up the new bike. Did you find it pretty easy getting around and finding the trails?
