pretty much, i spend most of my money on my bike and a shovel gets the juob done. then again i dont have ladders and things like that on my trails. i also use a rake every so often
Shovel - digging and shifting Polaski (hoe) - for drainage, trenches and breaking up stoney/graveled soil, you could use a pick. Lump Hammer - breaking stone/nailing 6-10" nails. Hammer - for nails Axe and/or hatchet - chipping wood, splitting, chicken head removal for BBQ Chisel - fine work Chainsaw - scaring campers at the lake, logrides and tree maintainance Wheelbarrow or hand truck/sacktruck - shifting large rocks
Volunteers - as many as possible...do your bit and help your local group
