I got into mountain biking back in 2010 when I purchased my 2010 Giant Faith 1. Seemed like a great bike at the time and could massively out perform me. Times have now changed and I have been tinkering with some smaller details on the bike, wider bars, single up front sprocket which have had positive improvements for me. I've just recently become more confident in my jumping and all out, no brake riding through rough areas and it has become obvious to me that I'm out performing my bike.

My frame is solid and bike geometry is great for me, I can't justify getting a new bike for the price point vs. replacing some parts on my current rig.

What I don't have any experience with is what suspension components are good and what are crap. I'm looking to upgrade both the stock fork (Marzocchi 66 RCV 180mm) and rear shock (Marzocchi Roco R, coil).

-Interested in recommendations on older model or new parts, if older model I'd like opinions on something that's rebuild-able.

I just don't know enough to be able to make a determination on what I need.

Any help is appreciated
