I was basing my sizing off the outgoing model. Which put me in an XL. according to these new numbers reach wise, I probably should be on a Large then. Whats the reach on an XL?! crap.
I'm 6ft 2in (188cm)
Welcome to modern bikes

Just got a reply from the shop I bought mine from regarding the XL reach #s depending on Ride9 they are 512-523
He still feels I should probably be on an XL but says he will have a Large on Tuesday in the showroom to try out.
yeah at 6’2” I’d say XL would still be the way to go, although a longer reach isn’t for everybody. Even a guy like Richie rude rides a medium frame yeti and he’s 6’ I believe

I contacted 19 shops in Ontario and found 2x XLs and a 1x L. Everything else was sold out.

there's both a coil and air C70. Air has DPX2 Elite shock and Fox 36 Elite FIT4.

I went from a 2011 Giant Trance Medium to a 2020 Instinct Large. The numbers don't really mean anything to me but was expecting to feel stretched out....cockpit doesn't feel that much different beyond bar width. I must not be that sensitive to it. Anyway, I'm 5'10" or 11" I think at 6'2" and XL will be fine.

I'm glad I didn't do a pre-order as sizing can be a finicky beast. I test rode a norco optic yesterday and a giant trance x advanced pro.....at 6' and just a half inch + on the wingspan i was i am supposed to be at the tail end of large/early xl and for the giant i am supposed to be smack dab in the middle of a large. Rode an XL in both and they were spot on reach wise.......the giant was a little better fit with its slightly steeper seat tube angle. Makes it hard to call around for a RMB Instinct A50 when Im not sure whether I will be a L or XL.

Wow, it's not even featured on Rocky's website's front page.

Picked up my C50 on Friday. Did a couple short rides this past weekend. The bike is sick! Wish it had XT shifters so I can double shift, Only thing I’m missing from previous bike. Great climber even in open position. Can’t wait to get some more Kms on it.

Got my frame the other day (granted it was a bike shop employee purchase, not consumer purchase) and almost have it built, ready to get on the bike for sure!

It arrived Thursday! Damn its a beauty! Got all my shock settings dialed in this morning. Have only been able to rip around the neighbourhood. Trails are still way to muddy and wet at the moment. But damn it rides nice. Set it up in neutral position and short chainstay. Changed out the chainring for an absolute black oval and added a rm slayer mud gaurd. Bought an XT cassette as my sons new Soul 20 is only 10spd and we're going to do a hub/12spd conversion when it arrives. Figured I might as well get the upgrade and give him the deore cassette. Planning when theyre back in stock to get an xt shifter and give him this slx unit.

I'm in love with this bike.
