Hi guys,

anyone here between 250-300lbs and use a dropper seat post?

Looking for recommendations. Don't want to get a weaker one and it bounces. Not sure if they lock out when extended as I have read they are a bit like an office chair in terms of the air canister inside?

I'm a fan of OneUp and their post. Perhaps give them a call or email and ask them if there is a weight limit on their product.

I'm within that weight range, and a YEP Components with 185mm of travel I've had for about 3 years has been just fine. It's been on a few frames, changed external diameter (it's just a shell to swap to go from 31.6 to 30.9 for example), and still good. I once had a very small vertical drop (like 3mm), sent it to YEP for a rebuild and they fixed it.

The more recent version can now be serviced on your own. They're definitely a quite pricy option, but so far worth the money. They're not planning on making a longer-than-185mm of travel.

I'm in that range and have used a Brand X Ascend 170mm 31.6 and a PNW Bachelor 170mm 34.9.

Both have been great for the most part. I would definitely buy either one again.
