Looking to get a valuation on my brothers old frame. It is not something I am going to use and it has just been hung in the shed, so looking to sell.
It's a Merlin Frame, Ritchey Logic, Tange prestige Chromoly.
Thanks for any help.

To most its just another age old cromoly frame, nothing special,
If I was looking to buy such I wouldn't go much over £30-£40 plus
say £15 post, its dated and theres plenty of this era out there,
Ive come across similar at car boots, re cycling centres, charity shops.

Its only of value to a collector who would deem it worthy for there
collection, and there but a small minority amongst the millions of bike owners
out there.

Like you, I have a similar Tange cromoly frame and a True Temper OX cromoly
made in USA bla bla blah, just hanging up on the ceiling, I will never use it,
its just a reminder of past. The older the frame the more stress and fatigue
on the thing from use, so I dont see how these things hold much value,
with the exception of something thats significant of historical value to biking.

Either ad it where the collectors hang out where you may get a good return,
or consider offers amongst the general bikers, who may be looking for a
cheap touring build, gravel project or sentimental biker looking for a project.

Perhaps try the Retrobike forum for a valuation to your liking.
