Hi Guys,

First post here, so have sweet rides in 2021 all of you!

I want to drop some weight on my GT Force and the wheels look like a good start and with the lighter cockpit, pedals, and cassette added I could drop around 700g or even more. Right now I've got Stan's NoTubes Flow S1, 32h wheelset wit the weight 2102g (Stan's website).

I was looking for a new wheelset and this one got my attention. Maybe someone will use that info, too.
DT EX511 Straightpull + DT SWISS 240EXP + Sapim CX-RAY = 1780g

EX511 seems to be a pretty solid rim and the 240 hubs would do the job.
The weight benefits are also significant, not to mention the riding feelings on 240 hubs.

Do you think there are other combinations of the alloy rims that could end up with similar weight, durability, and quality?

Cheers!

Ordered a custom wheel build from fanatik this winter

DT Swiss 350 j-bend, boost front and rear.
32x Sapim race spokes per wheel
Stan's sentry rim in front
Stan's flow in back.

The claimed weight in wheelbuilder was 1950 grams with valves, when it got here it was over 2060 grams! Anyone experience something like this before? Still a rock solid wheelset that should be pretty indestructible, but definitely heavier than I anticipated.

Anything I could have done differently to save a few hundred grams?

Built these for my new bike. The frame will be here in June.
