My local Devinci distributor was offering a 2020 Django GX Carbon 12s for $3,700 (MRSP $5199) and it was a heck of a deal (especially in this market) so I jumped on it:

Basically swapping out Sram GX for Shimano Deore components, downgrading from Fox Float 34 Performance Elite fork to a Rockshox Revelation
The rear shock and Fox Transfer dropper are still included from the carbon frame.
Devinci gave the LBS $500 off due to the component change and he is passing these savings onto me.
My biggest gripe is the downgrade from the Fox fork to the Revelation -- do you think $3,200 is worth it for this setup?
It’s a $3200 frame so yes. Sell the fork and recover some cost of the new one. An alloy bike with SLX is going to bring about $3200+ and you’re starting with carbon. Just upgrade the fork and ride.

Agreed. I have this bike and its a very capable all arounder especially for nwa. It's going to outperform that fork ridiculously quick, mine has a 34 factory but could easily justify a pike or 36. One of the guys on this forum put a Pike ultimate on his, and loves it. A 34 with a grip 2 damper would be good. Grip 2 dampers just became available for the 34. Maybe a performance 34 and drop a grip 2 damper in it.

If the reviews are to be believed Deore is a big upgrade from GX, I have used gx and it is trash in my opinion. Sell the fork and get a Marazochi Z2. Essentially a 34 rhythm and 499.

Sorry I meant to start with, yes, yes it is still worth it. It is debatable but I would argue you would be getting a better deal.
Use 1/2 the $500 you saved to put in the charger 2.1 damper and now you have a pike ultimate equivalent. It might be better than the fox you were expecting depending on which damper it was using. From all accounts the new Deore is functionaly amazing, but a bit heavier than the GX originally speced. You'll still be 1750 off MSRP, just get it!
