I have a 2020 Avalanche Comp, which I know isnt the best bike in the world, but it was a great deal and I was just getting back on a bike. That said, I have become super pumped on biking again (on here way too much), and wonder if the frame is worth upgrading parts piece by piece, or best to save up for a whole new bike? Biggest issue I see is the 9 mm quick release, so upgrading the fork will require new wheels as well.

Thoughts?

Enjoy what you have and go with what you can afford, you really dont need to
spend thousands either, 2nd hand or just a new frameset and build on it whilst still riding your
current bike, everyone has a way which suits them, so decide what works to your means.

When I upgrade parts on builds, always where possible try to future proof,
that way the part can be transfered to another build and its far from being wasted.
Will nearly always go for Hope hubs as they do adapters for all fits and easy to get hold
of parts being manufactured here in the UK,
stems with 35mm clamp sizes as I can use spacers if needed for 31.8
