Heya Guys,

I want to get back into riding- and I want to do it gently and easily- hence the 29" option for easy rollover etc.

But I dont want a XC/Gravel bike- Id like something with some travel and with more of a Trail/enduro geo.

id also love a solid rear axle- 12mm/etc as I love a stiff back end.

Any help appreciated.

Regards

Hi Pete
assuming you'd like to stay local, the already mentioned Cotic would be an obvious suggestion. The BFeMax is their aggressive 29er hardtail, and they offer numerous build options, which can be further amended in the fineprint:

The SolarisMax is a bit less aggressive and slightly more pricey:

Stanton have also been mentioned, they are a bit more expensive than Cotics, and you have the option to select either Taiwan-made 4130 steel, or UK made 631 Reynolds steel. They offer a large array of color options as well...example: https://www.stantonbikes.com/product/switch9er/

Finally the Pipedream Moxie full build is currently on sale: https://www.pipedreamcycles.com/shop/moxie-builder/

On top of those, it might be worth taking a look at PlanetX: https://www.planetx.co.uk/c/q/bikes/mountain-bikes

Cheers

Cheers lads.

Andy- Bike and spanner looks amazing! CRC could learn a thing or two!

Some frames I like the look of-
Nordest Bardino 2
Kingdom Vendetta X2
Dartmoor Bikes Primal PRO
Stanton Switchback

Like I said before- I want to build something easy to ride to get back into the sport and lose some corona weight! is there anything else I should be looking out for?

Go for a Kingdom Vendetta X3 29er…you won’t regret it…the bike is awesome to ride…I’ve built mine with 150 fork and it’s very good. Had a X2 before which was also amazing but the X3/bigger wheels make it even better.

I have a Moxie after previously having a Solarismax, Bfe and Soul. Can honestly say its the best hardtail i have ever ridden. And the best thing is they are in stock which is rare!
