I recenly just bought my first Dj (Transition pbj) and I am looking to cut my bar down to be able to throw barspins etc. What is the best bar width for do that? My bars are currently cut to 785mm and I don't know how much to cut them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am totally guessing here but I aim for a little wider than my shoulder span. I don't know if there is an official measurement based on some body measurement or not. Works for me!

I'm 6'2'' and mine came new at 710mm and I find them pretty comfortable. Even if you're shorter, I wouldn't go any less than that. When you cut your bars, use a hose clamp as a guide to get a nice straight cut.

That hose clamp idea should get Tip of the Day if not the Year. Will definetly use this in the future tup

I ride 750s and love them

My Atomlab Pimplite bars are 750mm, which wind up about 8mm wider per side, due to the ODI bar end caps. So, effectively about 766mm. I'm 6'2" and have not felt compelled to shorten them.
