Anyone do their own full service on the Fox DPX2 shock? Loud squishy sound from nitrogen chamber. Hesitant to pay a shop 240+ to install 50$ in parts. Thanks

Funny you should mention DPX2... I've rebuilt 2 of them in the last week. Squishy noises is bubbles in your damper oil. Nitrogen charge is the big thing stopping a home mechanic from working on a DPX2. If you have a shop in your area that's equipped to charge the IFP the rest is more or less do-able at home with a torque wrench a couple of flat faced sockets (9 and 11mm) and a couple of model specific small tools. Honestly, simply changing the damper oil, resetting and recharging the IFP would probably fix your squishy noise without doing a full rebuild. I charge my locals $100 for that service. Maybe your LBS could/would do the same.

Here's the official rebuild manual with all the required parts and tools listed.
