i agree with them. i wouldn't mess with a bikes geo by changing fork travel usually but ESPECIALLY if the manufacturer advises against it

If the standard was 150mm and you replaced it with 170mm then you are simply reverting to the manufacturers specifications.

Of more interest when it comes to the actual geometry is the axle to crown measurements and sag. It can be quite surprising the variation for both of those.

It will steepen the HT to 64.5 and steepen the ST a degree depending on your size.
