40MM tires on a Cannondale Topstone?

Considering a 2021 Cannondale TopStone 2, it comes with 37MM tires on it, but I'd like to go up a bit more while sticking with 700's.

Wondering if anyone has experience with this bike and putting 40's on it? The specs say it should be compatible, but spec sheets can be decieving.
