Spoke with Joe on Friday (at Bike Park Wales). The adjustable mounts are more about being able to have 135 / 150 travel options on the same bike rather than tweak geo. He also said the adjustable mount is different on the new model - they thickened up the downtube and got rid of the doubling plate and the adjustable mounts are thicker and weld to the DT. He also mentioned they were thinking of doing some longer rear ends for Murmurs - 455 IIRC.

Cool, thanks for the follow up. Interesting about the rear end, too. I like my 445mm cs, but if he ever comes out with a rear triangle with sliding dropouts (435-455?) that's compatible with my 2nd gen I'd have a hard time resisting buying it. That's pretty much the only feature I wish it had that it doesn't.

Hi everyone,

Recently ordered a Murmur after a couple years of looking at them. I'm so insanely hyped for the build, it's not even funny anymore. 16 very long weeks ahead..

I'll be lurking here, looking at your builds and I can't wait to show mine when it's done.

I'm very curious to see how many are actually around and how far apart all the builds are

Cheers

This is such an informative thread. Just ordered my stainless frame. Going to be 140/127 to start.

I hope the BB is at least 330mm high in that setup.

Does the stainless Murmur have an adjustable shock mount?

I wonder if Joe's going to do a stainless V3.

Based on my serial number I'd guess around 600 worldwide by now. For an idea of distribution check out https://www.starlingcycles.com/map/

Curious if anyone has run any cane creek air on their starling. They're having a 40% sale until tonight. Thanks for any input!

I MegNeged my Debonair. It was better than stock (without MegNeg) but no where near as good as the Ohlins coil. I just run the coil all the time now (weigh be damned)

Hi there. Considering a Swoop frame as "Treat Yo-self 2023".
Is anybody using air shock, or is it defo much better a coil shock?
The website says 16 weeks for completion, does this adjust to reality?
Cheers!
