Looking for a cheeper bike that a can commute to work with (within 12k) and still comfortably cruise around with the fam. I’m gravitating towards a used specialized sirrus. Any thoughts?

It'll do the trick. Depends on how "used" it really is, but it should be fine if the previous owner took care of it or if you have the means to repair anything they couldn't.
