Hello good people!
I’m currently building up my 94’ rockhopper into a Dad dirt jumper.
After finding some cool parts for the build-surly sunrise bars, race kings, salt junior BMX stem etc....I’ve decided to try to covert my BB from the tried and rusty square tapered to the newer hollow tech. There are plenty of options on eBay and beyond.
New Shimano Deore FC-M5100-1 Crankset 1x10/11-speed

I’d love to go classic and buy a old deore crank and grab a NW chainring, but supplies are limited now. Does anyone have any options on this new deore BB and crankset? Can’t confirm weather it comes with a NW chainring???! Maybe I should stay patient and wait for some vintage shimano cranks to show up? I’m lost as to my missing piece for my build.
Any advice would be awesome!
Here some inspiration! Thank you

The hollow tech's are vastly superior if you're going to be hard charging. For dirt jumping I think it would be ideal. Looks like the crank you chose, Shimano Deore FC-M5100-1 Crankset comes with a NW ring so you'll be ready to rock.

That being said it has Q factor & chain line info I can't decipher.

Thanks! Seems like a good deal of it includes a NW.
Nice hearing from ya
