Looks like the comp went to GX and has new fox float X, along with $200 price bump.

The Pro went to an AXS derailleur but lost the Fox Factory dropper post, and both the new Evos switched to the Float X.

Did they really jump the price from 4999 to 6000 for the us market? Those new colors aren't as cool too, the blue expert is okay..

Ridiculous, I just did the math. I could build a custom bike up with the same IDENTICAL components as the S-works Stumpjumper Evo and save $4722. You could buy a solid bike for that price! This is utterly ridiculous.

Wait what? I’d like to see your math on this. I don’t think there’s any way to build the S-works for $4700 less than the $10k retail price. Just the frame + AXS drivetrain is over $5k.

Do it on fanatik, the only thing you can't do on fanatik is the wheels, they're $1600, also if I couldn't find parts I would put parts in that were the same price.

Are those bikes really set to come out for 2022 though? Or are they a mid year refresh?

I still cant believe they get away selling everyone Rhythm forks on the comp, That needs to at min be a 36 performance for that price but for spec even a yari would do.. atleast its on the same chassis as its next model up..

I just realized that's that on the Canadian site, on the American site it's still $10,000, but $15,000 cad is still $12,400, almost $2,500 more expensive. I get the prices in Canada for parts may be slightly different But still...

I've been looking for a while now and I finally scored a s3 comp in baby blue colour, so the new colors are already being sold. Not sure about that rythm fork though but the rest of the bike is solid.

Post some photos up when you get it if possible. I'm curious what that color will look like in natural light vs the website studio shots.

Stumpjumper evo comp is going from $4300 US to $5000 US... that's over 20% increase, is the new spec that much better?
It seems really predatory and ridiculous

Yeah and the Evo Expert went from $5000 to $6000 USD.

I personally don't think the spec changes on either model justify the large price increases, but I'm sure the price increases are more from supply/demand and other covid related issues. Specialized isn't the only company raising their prices this year, they just seem to be raising theirs the most haha.

I personally thought some evo specs were under priced, especially the expert. Normally spesh is over priced IMO but the 4800 price point was really great. Was too good to stay though lol they had to raise the price. If the comp came with a performance fork i'd say the is was pretty good at least here in canada.
