What are people doing for frame protection on their orange alloy spires? Thinking about a ground keeper kit but unsure of which design. Might go with a full ride wrap kit.
I know x2 problems have been pretty common on this bike so far but has anyone had issues with their HSR adjuster? It feels rough to adjust, like there's grit in it or something. I can't really tell what I'm running for HSR because I can't really discern a click when adjusting.
The detent ball on the hsr sometimes gets dry/corroded. It's exposed to the elements for sure.
Drop some chain lube on the adj and spin it back and forth a little bit. Then clean it off. That usually works for me.
Thanks, I'll give this a try. I'm kind of surprised since my bike hasn't even seen dirt yet.

3M kit from amazon. Takes longer to install but costs like 20$

I went full ride wrap. It's my first aluminum frame in a while. I was surprised that if did not cover the welds, but it makes sense.

Crystal clear gorilla tape. Top tube, downtube, rear triangle insides, back of seat tube and a rubber shuttle pad

I went with a full ride wrap. I much prefer invisiframe as there kits are far more precise and offer more protection.
I have ride wrap kit and have plenty chips around the chain stay ends (both at the wheel axle end and the seat stay end) and on the dirt shelf - this orange paint doesnt seem to want to stay on.
Fully fitted Shack wrap on mine which I think is Xpel paint protection film. After riding Dyfi bike park this weekend there are a few stone chips around the seat stay bridge and near the drive side chainstay pivot from chain slap but nothing more than I would expect.

Dang that sucks that even with the ride wrap you’re seeing that. I’ve had ride wrap on my sj for over a year and the paint looks flawless. Why does Transition paint have to suck

Started with the 50, so can’t offer a comparison to the 40, but I can say this gets you a bit more over the front when cornering. Might not be the best technique. Hahaha!!
The steep ST also puts the bars pretty close, so I think the reach benefit is noticeable there too.
Will be getting more time on the bike in the coming months and stoked to get it to the bike park for some laps there too.
