People think about the PNW and what comes to mind first is usually "rain." But it's actually the short winter days that are a major bummer and Bellingham in particular gets some gnarly wind that doesn't die down until late in the day. When spring comes the days start getting longer quickly and by April sunset riding sessions are the ticket. I'm turning 40 shortly and it reminds me of being a kid living near the Baltic Sea, riding our bikes right up until my mother would come out and yell at us to get to bed.
