Yep. We have to build choke points to keep them off. I am guessing that you are not using a machine to build these trails, otherwise you would have already placed large rocks to keep them off. I would recommend either getting a come along to move big rocks into their way or constructing a partial fence. If you think that they are brazen enough to cut out the wood barrier with a chainsaw, drive nails and screws into it everywhere.
