I want to upgrade to a bigger travel rig, but don't feel like spending on a whole new bike, would this be ok?

we did it on a friend's 2018 marine rift zone 2

We added a 130mm pike and a works component -2 angle set

this made the bike slacker without compromising the Seat tube angle.

The same would apply to your bike , a 140mm would be okay I guess but if you don't want to affect too much your climbing , throw an angleset in the mix also

Probably voids the warranty.

Most companies suck at this so no reason to worry

140/120 isn't all that uncommon. I have the same setup on my Devinci Django.

Yea, throw an angleset in the bike and you'll be fine.
I've seen Process 111's with 140mm forks.
It's your bike. If ya wanna try it. Go ahead.
Re warranty. If an ultrailght XC frame you may want to reconsider your idea.

Run a 160 travel on a hardtail, by the time my loaded arse sinks in
the sag, its down to 135mm, obviously you dont want a snowflake
frame, something stout to handle the ruff.

I have an orange 4 with 150mm upfront, (std 130 I think) it was a bike built by Hope Technologies…”it’s the bike orange should should have built”…allegedly! Anyway…no negatives from me, great handling bike which is more than capable of anything I can do
