I just bought a 2013 Kona operator used here on Pinkbike and it just feels right.

I have a 2021 Capra pro al 29er size large and I’m not sure if it’s a suspension tuning problem or the geometry or what but it doesn’t feel as good to me as the 26” 2013 Kona operator 26er size large.

The Kona operator feels small and nimble and feels like it was made for my exact height.
And just puts me in a riding position that feels right.

I feel hunched over on the Capra. Although when riding the operator back to back with the Capra than the Capra feels like a upgrade feels like a soft couch.

I’m going to switch the smashpot on the Capra fox 38 from 55lb spring to 45lb cause I can’t ride steep technical trails with confidence because the bike feels like it’s too high up in its travel.


I’m 5’10” 248lbs
