Hello everyone, new to the forum and generally speaking fairly new to mtb. I recently picked up a yeti asr frame and Im starting to source parts for it, and am slightly confused by certain things as I'm purchasing components. I picked up a set of wheels with DTSwiss 350 hubs installed in them with an HG freehub. Now would I read that the asr came 12spd if you purchased a complete bike but since this is a fresh build, is 12spd overkill or would an 11spd xt setup work fine or is it mostly personal preference? I read online that the HG freehub should be compatible with either cassette that I decide to go with or is that not correct? Also
Next question is concerning bottom brackets. It is a PF30 with a 68mm width, is there any advantage in using 30mm cranks vs 24mm cranks? And for the width of the crank shaft, would that change depending on using 11spd vs 12spd?
Sorry if these are dumb questions I just don't want to order parts and have them be wrong on intsall. Thank you!
