I am looking for a beginner full suspension mtb and I came across a Niner RIP 9 SLX for $2,500 but I have never heard if the brand, could someone let me know about the brand and that specific model.

Here is their website. https://www.ninerbikes.com/

Check out some of Kurt Voreis's edits on Youtube.com

What year is the RIP that you're considering? CVA works well for climbing.

I use a niner carbon fork on my plus hard tail. It seems to be good quality. I had a ding on the steerer tube of the new fork and they replaced it no questions asked. I think their rlt series is pretty appealing but I don’t know if their mountain bike geometry is very current. I think the company has had some rough times financially.

Here is the link on the Chapter 11 thing. This doesn't mean they are going away.

2018 is the newest geo and SLX is a solid drivetrain. Frame is solid although the seat tube angle isn't the best for taller riders when you consider a dropper seat post. $2500 seems like an excellent price if the bike has been maintained. It's definitely a burley all mountain trail bike with a proven suspension platform. I have a 29" wheel, I suspect a 27.5" wheel size will be a blast.
