So, I removed a spacer from beneath the stem on my new santa cruz hightower. And, when I put the cockpit back together I noticed a small gap, maybe, 1 mm between the top cover assembly and the frame. Unfortunately, I'm not aware if this was there prior or not.

There's no play/knock in the headset. But, if this is abnormal I'd hate to damage my carbon frame.

Any thoughts?

Totally normal, if it was flush it would be dragging on the frame.
