Damn right. I did have an amtb/analog/snail/peasant/retro/legacy bike (call it what you will) just in case my emtb was broken & in the shop, but I decided I would rather not ride at all rather than have to ride one of them again for the duration of the repair. May get another dh bike at some point though, but old style pedal bikes? Nah, I'm over them.
Have less than 150 miles on my latest e-Bike (SL to be specific), I might officially be done with anolog bikes. An e-Bike for me has been a game-changer and simply offers so much that I can't stop riding it. The only caveat is if all I rode were downhill or flat, flowy trails, then I'd probably keep both.
These ebikes are simply too versatile, IMO.
I thought the same thing for the first year I had my Levo. Then I re discovered my Ripmo, riding that on a regular basis has made me a better ebike rider - gives me more fitness to go further on epic ebike rides, is more “flickable” which helps with bike handling, and , well, sometimes an analog bike is just better to have on some trails.
While I do love my moped(Focus Jam2C PRO) I'll never let my bikes go. Different beasts entirely. I will probably wind up buying a pure gravity focused pedelec though. Either enduro or dh style. For the moment either the Husky DH bike or the Focus Sam2 looks like likely candidates. Spesh is far to much monies compared to what I get in return in my book. Orbea Wild is another available option for me.
I miss that feeling of accomplishment after a long ride.
I also kid myself you still get a workout on an ebike. Which I now know you clearly don't.
I ride my Ebike Everyday, if not twice(before work at 8am and after work at 9pm), I've gotten way fitter and lost a chunk of weight including upper body strength increase for sure. I stopped riding my ebike for 3 months and after a month i sunk back into my.. maybe ride twice a week and 1/2 the distance, all the fun part kinda dissapeared.
On the ebike i will ride from home to the trails and spend more time there then bike home. note this is on max tour mode on my Rail which is 2 down from turbo.
While i dont disagree an "analog" bike will get you fitter, that comes at the expense of more effort vs fun.
Ebikes offer all the fun from MTB that 99% of us are the reason we even mtb "fun" some people just got all anal about the exercise part somewhere along the line.

I partly agree. When I got my ebike I rode it all the time for about two months. It was probably the most fun I've had riding a bike.
Then went back to my MTB and instantly felt unfit.
Then a couple weeks ago we done a 30 mile ride on Exmoor. Got back to the van and felt like I'd hardly ridden. Yes it was fun still but like I said, I missed that feeling of accomplishment.
