It's people who think there way is the only way. Happens all the time in society. People are too ignorant to look past themselves and see that there are different ways to do things and one way doesn't make another way wrong. We can all have fun and ride whatever bike we want as long as we're respectful of other people. That is the one fact they don't get.
What really irritates me is others thinking I care to hear their thoughts on the subject. Assuming someone is unfit or lazy because they have an ebike is a pretty dumb assumption. I do this because its fun and challenging and much more accessible than moto in so far as the time and places available to ride are concerned.
Also people should learn to read the room. If you are giving me your thoughts on ebikes at the staging area as I'm gearing up with goggles, full armor, full face helmet, neck brace etc. it should be very obvious to you and your spandex clad a$$ that I'm not interested in XC and the only reason I'm there is its winter and the chair lifts are being used for skiing.
I don’t have time for 2.5 hr 25 mile rides. But I can do that distance in 1.5 hrs on my ebike.
Also, for perspective, it took me nearly a year to put just over 400 miles on my regular bike. I put 206 miles on my ebike in about 9 weeks. Ask my physical therapist how little of a workout I’ve been getting. LOL
Amen to that - I off loaded all of my non-powaaaah! bikes (13 in total) and now just have a Moterra and Levo HT, and yes either one of them is worth more than my daughters car
