So I have a frame that has a couple little cracks in that need attention, my plan was to sand blast it but have been told it'll make the frame look like crap, has anyone sand blasted a frame and have pictures of it? I'm not bothered about it being amazingly polished when done, I actually prefer a more Matt look anyway, so yeah how would you guys go about strupping a frame of the paint? Cheers

I've seen sand blasted alloy free looks good. I would say if planning not to polish afterwards. Get it covered in clearcoat.

Search Youtube for "Restoring and modernizing my childhood dream bike: The Cannondale Super V".

A very satisfying video of a bike being sandblasted and powder coated.

Bro tip: if you are DIY this yourself first time, practice sandblasting on assorted scrap bikes first.
