Looking for a coil fork. Or a way to convert a modern 200mm travel fork to Coil. Anyone have any recommendations? Apologies if this has been posted before, but I can’t find an answer.

Formula Nero C is an option, although I don't have any experience with this fork.

There is a company that does a coil conversion for the Boxxer too, don't know if they also do one for the FOX 40.

Think you referring to the company Push with their AC3 conversions.

No, PUSH and Vorsprung only do conversions for single crowns, there is another random company that does coil conversion for the Boxxer.

I've heard he can be a bit of a nob but supposedly his stuff works great...

oh try interacting with him now?
straight condescending ass hole

also his open bath damper is a downgrade from a fox RC2 or Grip 2

here are a few experiences including mine
https://ridemonkey.bikemag.com/threads/i-think-im-done-with-craig-for-a-while.290770/page-4

old JM_ a frequent on Ridemonkey and MTBR used to be an avalanche supporter
midway down this page he cancelled an order that was 5 weeks late and craig had a meltdown.
https://ridemonkey.bikemag.com/threads/best-coil-shock-for-commencal-supreme-dh.292552/

I cant find the quote but the most accurate I ever heard reguarding craig was from a fellow on various forms by the name of ghill28 who helped design the dvo emrald chassis (not that i like that fork) i"f you want to deal with hours of ego and you like whack damping curves then craig is your guy"

Heres my summary
Craig is an older dude who doesn't ride bikes, and probably never rode bikes very hard.
He originally started working on quad suspension and his heyday was in the huck bike era.
He has no clue about newer longer wheelbase bikes.
he doesn't ride them himself.
he comes up with tunes by looking at a leverage ratio and guessing.

he does know a thing or two and sometimes he nails it,
his fork stuff is so old that how could he not have it sorted by now.
but shock stuff is way hit or miss with him.

but hes such a jackass that if he built a shock for a bike hes never ridden or even seen before and the rebound is so slow that it packs down, he will refuse to re tune it even if you pay full price. "Hes too smart to have not nailed it the first time"

So i believe at one point he may have done good. but at this point he may be senile, but he is for sure arrogant and rude.

Sounds similar to another guy I know on MTBR, I won't say his name, but he's certainly known in the suspension forums for good or bad.

Hmm I have a grip 2 on my fox 38 I was hoping to replace with avalanche cartridge because the 55lb spring I use for my vorsprung coil conversion gets way too harsh mid travel

Have you considered trying a 50lb/in spring?

I bought the 45lb spring I’m just waiting for the avalanche cartridge to install them both at the same time now I’m just gonna try the 45lb spring first and see how it feels
