I've become obsessed with Plus wheels. I'm not young anymore and just love the traction and confidence my 2.8" tires give me. I'm planning on building a custom FS with a plus set up on 40w Whiskey rims and want a decent amount of travel.

I'm finding it difficult to narrow down which frame I want to build up my dream bike on. I'm aware of the Pivot Switchblade and Salsa Spearfish but looking for advice on what else is out there as I'm not doing well searching myself. Thanks for any input!

Guerrilla Gravity Shred Dogg
Banshee Prime V3

There are lots more, but that's what I could think of quickly.

The Transition Scout only advertises up to a 2.6, but I've fit a true 2.8 in there.

Loved my Specialized Fuse, still have it, my wife uses it in the woods. Match with a good 130mm fork and it will be a blast!

I have a 2017 Giant Trance advance and I can squeeze 2.8 in there on an i29 wheel but it might rub if you run wider wheels

I've found bikes that are said to be up to 2.6 usually will happily take a Maxxis 2.8 etc...

Thing is though all these tyre companies vary so massively in size, I just fitted some 2.6 Wild Enduros to replace my 2.8 front DHF and it is so much smaller it really doesn't seem like a 2.6.
But then the 2.8 DHF isn't exactly massive compared to some other 2.8s....a Kenda 2.8 for example is a shitload bigger than a Maxxis 2.8 and Maxxis seem to come up bigger than Michelin. Schwalbe used to come up pretty big but I heard their latest tyres got smaller.
