i would like to upgrade my tires on my specialized status to something more chunky, probably some maxxis minions but i was wondering if anyone knows the max tire clearance on the frame? as i would like the most chunk i can fit.

Manual says 27.5 x 2.5 rear with some exceptions. I think you can do a 2.6 DHF in the front. I would get a 2nd option on that though. You definitely have room for even a meaty 2.5 up front
