Hello all!!! This is my first time on a PB formum so please be gentle.

I have a marzocchi z1 coil right now and i know i can switch over to fox lower(which i am interested in because the fox lowers have bleed ports and a floating axle.) I really love the red on my lowers and i would be buying black lowers.

does anyone know of any way to either strip the paint and repaint the lowers? or just paint over the lowers? i do not have any idea on how to go about this so any feed back is very welcome!!!

If your buying new lowers scuff them lightly and paint over the factory paint. It’ll act like a primer for your red top coat.
There’s a thread around here somewhere about painting bikes/forks. It’ll be helpful for you

Green scotchbrite, wipe down with isopropyl alcohol, masking tape. From there I'd imagine adhesion promoter, paint, and 2k clear coat is the way to go.
