I have a 21’ Kona Process 153 dl 29er.
Currently has a stock Lyrik 160mm fork. Looking to upgrade to a Rockshox Zeb 170mm
Or Fox Float 38 170mm. Is it possible? Would this be a good upgrade?
Thanks

What do you think is Not good enough with your Lyrik and/or Bike Suspension Balance? A Generic answer to your question is Not neccesarly helpful.
But technical the upgrade is possible

Absolutely possible.

But you’re doing two things here, which you should be aware of.

1) any time you increase the travel of the fork, you’re also effectively slacking the head angle, and seat tube angle by about half a degree every 10mm of fork travel you do.

This also raises the bottom bracket, reduces the reach, and increases the stack height.

2) The Zeb has a longer axle to crown measurement than the lyrik, even at the same travel. That means that the Zeb at 170mm is as tall as a lyrik would be at 175mm.

So yeah, should be fine. As long as you’re ok slacking the bike out about .75 degrees.

Thank you. That’s exactly the information I was looking for. I’d like to build my Process for a more dh/ bike park bike. I have my eyes set on an e bike for my daily driver. Appreciate the advise

I would keep the lyrik, 38 stanchions feel way too stiff in my opinion
