Snowboard and ski spine protectors for mtb?

I am looking on entering an enduro but I need a spine protector to enter Frown . I was looking online and the cheapest mtb spine protector is about €140 but I’ve found some ski and snowboard spine protectors for around €80-90. Anybody know what the difference between the two are and wether it has the same protection?

It's your spine though man, saving £50 won't feel so great if you're unable to walk ever again. Don't skimp on protection equipment.
