From my old bike to my new one I will be going from Guide (2017) with 180/180 to Code RS (2022). I'm about 150 lbs. Which option do you think I should take: - 200 (R)/180 (F), - 200/200.
On a test bike I did find Code RSC + 200 being a bit too much but maybe I'll get use to the new braking power. Thanks for your help!!
Definitely don’t put a smaller rotor in front than the rear. I recently moved to 203 x 203 from 203 x 180 and like the feeling of the same size rotors. The bite feels more predictable, but does take some getting use to. Granted, I am not running the same brakes, but I think you will get similar results.
+1 Always bigger up front and/or just as big on the rear.
I'm running 203 front and 180 rear. I don't really need any more than I've got now but still eyeing up going 203 rear and adding a 4 pot caliper up front.
After briefly being under-braked and nearly not stopping a couple of times made me realise more is always better!
