Hello, I have a question. What would be the best mountain bike for a beginner? I can jump and do basic drops, I was already on the pumptrack for a bit, and I weigh around 87 kilograms. My budget is around 663€.

I think there’s a couple questions to consider, what trails you are on?
Are you using it for commuting as well?
There’s lots of options but budget might limit these decisions like choosing between a better cornering 27.5 or faster rollling 29 wheelset.
With that budget you’re Probly limited to a hard tail.
I personally like trek, the marlin 5 is under 1k cdn here. Has tektro hydraulic disk, a threaded bottom bracket (easy maintenance) reliable shimano parts. The tires are good for mountain biking and they aren’t big 2.8 so you won’t be super slow on the road. You have suspension so that’s nice. The frame has internal cable routing so if ever you want to install a dropper seat post you can.
Most major companies now will have similar products tho.
Big thing to take away if your on a budget is what you want out of the bike.
Is used an option?
I’m happy to help with feedback if you find something you like. My wife loves her trek roscoe.
