tire size help

I have a 2019 trek marlin 5 27.5 and am looking for some new tires. the one that came with it are 27.5 x 2.20 and was wondering if a 27.5 x 2.25 would fit on the same rims? because i have no clue

Yes, you will be fine. Those are virtually the same size tires.

So, you could go 2.4 with the 27.5. I doubt they have changed much in that time, but Trek has pretty decent archive as well, and you could also call a local Trek dealer. But, I beliwve there is no need at .05 inches difference. ; )
