well everybody i knew who has had a 40 blew it out. if you're looking for performance buy the 888. if you're only interested in the look and spending grossly to much on a fork, buy the 40

Well i can get a 40 for 1200. how much cheeper is a 888?

depends on the year , i picked up a new in the box 06 rc2x for 800 last winter

depends on the year , i picked up a 06 rc2x for 800 last winter

ok, i am not trying to argue at all but when i said i could get a 40 for 1200 i was talking about the 09 brand new.

i think the 09 888 wc is 2400 , but get the 8 if your into random hucks ie. freeriding. or the 40 if u wana go DH smoothly

the 40 is more of a downhill race oriented fork , im pretty sure. but u can get away with a 888 for some DH and then use the same fork for hucks
