Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has increased the travel on the fork of their Nomad V5 to 180mm and if so what their impressions were.

Thanks for any replies

Dan

Been curious about this as well, Dan. I’ve got the 180mm air shaft for the zeb so might have to install it and report back.

I have been riding my V5 on low with a coil and 180mm lyrik. Thats how i bought it. After a week i switched to the high setting, an air shock and 170mm up front as I pedal all my trails here in the Alps. The Bike is way more lifely and fun that way in my opinion, pedals really well and efficient and still eats the rough stuff. I dont see myself going back to 180mm.
If you do just shuttle/lift access it might be a good choice tough.

I currently have a 180mm Fox 38 +37 on my bike and I also want to lower it to 170. The fork feels great, it's just a LOT of fork and travel for a bike that I use from everything from trails to bike parks. I ride a large so I never had a lot of issues with bottoming out except for really large drops.
