Anybody know how to get there from Durham? It seems there's no train between Durham and Hamsterley, and seems to far to ride there. or should I just go to Bishop Auckland first and then ride there?
You want to get a lift or drive its not really within riding distance on a dh bike.

No, I only have an xc bike, but I heard the trails there are suitable for all kinds of riding styles. Of course I fancy a DH bike...but I don't have one now...Frown

and btw, I'm planning to go to Kildale to do some riding if the weather is ok. that'll be easier to go to.

Does anyone know what the DH and 4x track are like at the minute as well as the roads to get there. Hoping to get up tomorrow if the roads are ok and the track is clear.
