I have recently acquired a 2016 Propain Tyee CF frame that I have transfered everything over from my Mega AM.
I had been running a 180mm Lyrik Debonair and CCDB Coil CS on the mega which ran amazingly up and down hill
Shock sizing being different, I have had to sell my CCDB and look for another. I have spoke with TF Tuned and the workshop guy said another CCDB would work great with the Propain and also a Fox X2.
I have the chance to get an X2 this week, but I haven't run an air shock in many years now and I'm scared I will be missing my coil. But, looking further into the 2016 Propain Tyee CF, from the manufacturer instructions, it says the frame is not suitable for a coil shock? I know the newer models can run coils and run great. What are tour experiences with this if any?
Also the frame is meant for a 160 fork, I have ordered a 170 Debonair shaft because I'm willing to risk an extra 10mm which will probably be sag anyway, but would a 180 be dangerous?bor would it cope
Any experience or knowledge would be greatly appreciated
