My current rockshox dropper is dropping down 30/40mm so needs a service. I’ve tried the valve on top and pushed it down to release air but no luck. If I buy a new dropper post that’s been serviced can I swap the posts and then plug straight into the lever I’ve got installed in my bike without bleeding? So get away with swapping posts but use the same lever and not have to bleed it. Basically guys I can buy the same dropper and lever for the price of a service.

If your post and the post you plan on replacing it with both use the connectamajig fitting then yes you can unplug one post and plug another back in, up to about 10 times or the lever becomes mushy, without bleeding.

I have the newer version, which uses just a hose barb threaded into the post. Connected the new post to old lever cable but can’t push it in.
